March 28th – Winners and Sinners: My Social Media Memoir Part 1

The kind of joy I felt yesterday when the winner of the 2015 Presidential elections was announced comes a distance 2nd, behind Obama’s election in 2008.

I felt a surge of happiness because I knew the amount of work that was put into unseating an incumbent President who was sitting on a pile of unlimited resources.

The campaign period was a roller coaster of emotions, for me, and for all the people who worked in front and behind to tend to the public perception of the people’s General. (more…)

Good morning gentlemen!Today is Sunday May 11th 2014…..exactly 26 days after over 200 of our daughters in Chibok, Borno State, were abducted by Boko Haram insurgents. Twenty six days later, we neither know where they are nor are we any close to knowing it, going by available information. Yet, 11 more girls have been abducted in Warabe. (more…)

When my old schoolmate, Samuel, tweeted this today, little did he know he was dropping a piece of wisdom that many of us eventually have come to admit, and accept.

During the GenVoices telethon of January, a certain Tonye Cole made one of the most profound utterances of this decade (in my considered opinion). I will paraphrase him here – “There is no way you will be able to make a difference in the way Nigeria is run if you do not join politics”. (more…)
